The theme for the Spring 2012 Internet2 Member Meeting is: The Internet2 Community: Building the Next Innovation Platform Together

The meeting program will focus on how the Internet2 Community is reclaiming the leadership of ground-breaking innovations, brought about through the implementation of a 100G network, revolutionary new network technologies and opportunities for services that leverage this innovation platform. Examples and explanations of these pioneering efforts are encouraged across the following four Areas of Interest: Advanced Network Services and Leadership, Global Network Reach, Internet2 NET+ Services, and Emerging Collaborations and Applications. Very much encouraged this year, we are interested in proposals that promote and present efforts and initiatives that cross member constituent groups (e.g. Industry, University CIOs, Regional connector organizations, international partners).

Call for Working Meetings

One of the many benefits of member meetings is the opportunity to hold working meetings (e.g. working groups, BoFs, SIGS, etc.) in conjunction with the other meeting activities. In order to accommodate the requests for these working meetings, we will reserve incremental hotel space at times outside of the program sessions. To aid us in handling and filling your requests for these additional meetings, we are issuing this call with a deadline of February 6, 2012.

Meetings will be accepted based on space availability and we will attempt to accommodate all requests on a first come, first serve basis. Your flexibility with day/time and meeting duration requests will assist us in accommodating your meeting needs.

Please Note: These meetings should be open to all Internet2 Member Meeting attendees. If you need to schedule an invitation-only or closed meeting, Internet2 will reserve a room for you. However, you will be responsible for notifying people about the meeting yourself and you must provide your email address so others can contact you.

No other vehicle can single your organization out so effectively before this important audience. Sponsorships are limited in number and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
